COURSE FOR CARE OF ELDERLY AND DISABLED PEOPLE
Syllabus:
The 70-hour program includes the following issues:
- the Charge's toilet
- washing in bed
- dressing the Charge
- rehabilitation equipment
- observation of the ward: measurement of parameters (pressure, temperature, sugar measurement),
- prevention of bedsores and the effects of prolonged immobilization
- transfer of the Charge from the bed to the wheelchair and from the wheelchair to the bed
- changing the position of the Client
- nutrition for the elderly, the sick and the disabled
- diet in specific disease entities
- feeding the Charge
- providing pre-medical assistance in emergency cases
